What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management.

Remedial massage is designed to balance muscle/soft tissue length, tension and tone which will in turn promote the return to normal joint/capsular/bone position; increase the flow of blood and lymph, particularly in the injured areas, thus removing blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions resulting from injury.

Increase your mobility and flexibility, and reduce muscle and joint tension with a remedial massage. Perfect if you have a specific injury such as shoulder pain, headaches, or neck and back ache.

The types of massage offered include:

  • Remedial Massage
  • Relaxation Massage
  • Gua Sha Facial Massage
  • Pregnancy Massage
  • Sports Massage

What do you need to bring?

Your practitioner may ask to see any X-rays, scans or test results that you may have. Your practitioner may ask you to undress to your underwear depending on the area of your body requiring treatment. Therefore you may want to wear loose pants or bring a pair of shorts if this would make you more comfortable. We do have shorts available onsite also if you require them.
